Old Politics v New Politics

Posted on October 30, 2025October 30, 2025 by 417854pwpadmin

It used to be axiomatic that the Democrats were all about “Tax and Spend” and the Republicans were all about “Borrow and Spend.” They agreed on most things just not how to pay for them.

Now, both parties will grab cash wherever they find it. Borrow, Tax, Print,………..

They even stole all of the money in government Trust Funds. It all started out with good intensions, but once the Politicians saw all the money coming in they concocted a way to grab it and spend it. They simply CHANGED THE RULES, SWIPED THE MONEY AND REPLACED THE MONEY WITH SPECIAL ISSUE GOVERNMENT BONDS. They invented what I call the IOMe.

Lets say you had a $100 bill in your pocket that you need to pay for some medicine later that month. But you go to the mall and find something you cannot live without, So, you feel bad that you spent the money foolishly. But you come up with the genius idea to write your self an I Owe Me for $100. Come the time to get the meds, all you have is the IOMe. So you say “self, pay me back”. But you cannot obviously.

That is what the government does. The way they get around the fact that there is no money in the Trusts is simply take it from new general funds, issue new IOMe’s , spend and repeat. The very definition of a Ponzi scheme. If the government was a business, debt would paid down with profits or in the case of government, surpluses,. Since we never have surpluses, the losses in the Trust Funds is laundered through General Funds and becomes part of the DEFICIT.

BTW, Clinton neve had a surplus. The amount of US debt increased every year he was in office.

Question…..Does anyone in the private sector borrow money to be charitable? Only government does.

Is the government a Hedge Fund???

Is the government a Private Equity Firm???

Sure acts like it is.
